Most options on the Preferences screen have detailed information available by clicking the small '?' icon next to the individual setting.

General Settings

These are display preferences, and can be changed at any time.

Duty Time & Limitations

These settings should be set up before using PilotLog, and usually need only be changed if you change employer, or if there is a change in legislation or company rules that affects you. Note that changing your duty settings will not make any retrospective changes to your log. You must configure these settings before adding any data.

Custom Data

You can add your own data fields to PilotLog to store any specific information that you require. Fields can be added at any time. Deleting a field will permanantly delete any information that you have already stored in that field. The only way to recover this information is by restoring your log from a backup.
