If you need to add an airport that is not already in the database, please use the following guidelines:

Airport names must be more than 4 characters. If the airport has a short name, either add a secondary name in brackets such as Pisa (San Giusto), or a description such as Nice International.

Latitude and longitude are very important. They are used to calculate flight distances and day/night times. Latitude and longitude can be enterd as degrees only (with decimal if required e.g. 50.204167), as degrees and minutes (with decimal minutes if required e.g. 50 12.25), or as degrees, minutes and seconds (e.g. 50 12 15). You can check the values you enter by clicking the 'View on Map' button.

You can edit the details for an airport that you added yourself before it is confirmed by MJICCS. Unconfirmed airports are highlighted in green. Once confirmed, airports cannot be edited except by us to ensure consistency. If you find or suspect an error in any airport that you cannot edit yourself, please contact us and we will investigate and rectify the problem.
