When first adding a simulator detail, the default date shown will be the current UTC date. If you subsequently add a series of details, the date will default to the same as the previous detail added, to save time if you are adding a sequence of details in the past or future. Dates can be changed up or down by pressing the up or down cursor keys on the keyboard.

Simulator details added in the future are always stored as provisional, regardless of the setting of the option on the screen. It is not possible to log a detail in the future with confirmed details. Provisional details must be edited after you have operated them, and the actual details entered. Provisional details are not counted in your hours totals, and appear in grey in your log.
